Evolution 08 - Parsons class of 2008
We were asked to come up with a way to show the class of 2008 in a way that could be added onto
by future Parsons students. The class was split between people who wanted to create a video and those
who wanted to create a sculpture. I had an idea that incorporated both. Out of a group of 60 students,
my idea was chosen and our class got to work.

The group started photographing every student in the class of 2008. Their photos was replaced with a silhouette if they declined
to be photographed. The boxes and photographs were then color coded for their expected major. Digital majors like Communication
Design or Digital Design were coded in cool colors and Physical majors like Fine Arts and Fashion were coded in warm colors.

As soon as it was set up in a common area at Parsons, people were facinated and
once we explained they could touch and manipulation the sculpture they couldn't stop.

On the back of the sculpture we projected the video interviews the digital group had put together.
So the more people played with the front of the sculpture, the more interesting the surface of the back became.

And below is the finished product. The entire class of Parsons 08.
